February 24th: Nationwide day of action against AUKUS

The Australian Anti-AUKUS Coalition (AAAC) have called a day of action on Friday 24th February.

The message of the actions are:

  • No to nucelar submarines
  • No to east coast sub bases
  • No to AUKUS
  • No to preparations for war
  • Yes to demilitarising Australia’s foreign policy
  • Yes to climate change mitigation
  • Yes to Australia signing and ratifying the Treaty for Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons

How can you get involved?

This Friday, the 24th February, we are asking you to join our Coalition partners for a series of actions at key Federal Minister’s offices.

Kaurna / Adelaide, SA

Join NoNuclearSubs SA for a rally at 12:30pm (ACST) outside Senator Penny Wong’s (Minister for Foreign Affairs) electorate office, 19 Gouger St, Adelaide. (Facebook event)

Djilang / Geelong, VIC

Join IPAN Geelong & SW Regional Victoria for a rally at 4pm (AEDT) outside Richard Marles (Minister for Defence) Electorate Office, 100 Brougham St. Geelong.

Warrang / Sydney, NSW

Join Marrickville Peace Group, SAAC, and WAWAN for a rally at 12pm to 1pm (AEDT) outside Anthony Albanese’s (Prime Minister) electorate office, 334A Marrickville Rd, Marrickville.

Belmont, NSW

Join Hunter Peace Group for a rally at 10:30am (AEDT) outside Pat Conroy’s (Minister for Defence Industry) electorate office, Suite 1A, 571 Pacific Hwy, Belmont.

Meeanjin / Brisbane, QLD

Join Just Peace (AEST) for a rally at 11am at Jim Chalmers’ (Treasurer) office, Unit 2A Logan Central Plaza, 38-74 Wembley Rd, Logan QLD.
